Software version 1.23.0.1
New Feature
Background Modbus Scanning
The controller now scans in the background for Modbus devices in your network. This makes it easier to find devices during scanning and onboarding.
Peak Shaving Plus for Batteries
You can now combine peak shaving with another control strategy.Currently available for beta testing; availability may change in a future release.
Teplore - Tensorpack T Battery Rack
Now supported in SmartgridOne as a battery rack integration. This allows the controller to read key battery values and use the system in monitoring and battery control strategies.

SMA - Sunny Island X Battery Inverters
Now supported in SmartgridOne as an SMA battery inverter integration. This allows monitoring and control to be integrated into SmartgridOne, so the battery can be used in your energy management strategies.

Growatt - MOD/MID HU Inverters
Now supported in SmartgridOne as a Growatt inverter integration. This allows the controller to read inverter data and use it as part of monitoring and control flows in your installation.

Improvements
Security
- Local login password hardened by default
- Hardened the security of the controller by changing the default local login password from admin to the verification code
System & Usability Improvements
- External Signals rebuilt
- We redesigned how the controller handles external control signals. This makes it more stable today and prepares it for upcoming features like baseline-based control.
- Battery cost optimization is clearer and responds faster
- The “risk profile” options are now easier to understand: Aggressive, Moderate, and Conservative.
- In Moderate and Conservative, the battery will charge earlier and more steadily, helping it take advantage of cheaper moments more reliably.
- The controller now calculates the battery schedule in the background, so changes take effect faster and the schedule is more accurate.
- New option: you can choose to always charge the battery with solar power during cost optimization.
- Cloud controllers recover faster from issues
- Added automatic health checks. If the controller detects abnormal software behavior, it can recover automatically to reduce downtime.
- Faster device discovery and overall performance
- Devices are found faster inside drivers, which improves responsiveness, especially for cloud controllers managing many sites.
- Faster startup after reboot
- The controller saves network discovery information, so it can reconnect to devices faster after a restart. Improved: Store the ARP cache to disk for faster startup times
- Smoother login in modern browsers
- Username and password fields work better with Google Password Manager, making login easier.
- More robust USB handling
- Improved handling of unknown USB devices to prevent unexpected connection issues.
Device & Driver Enhancements
- Wallbox EV chargers
- The integration was rewritten for more reliable charging control and monitoring.
- Zaptec EV chargers
- The integration was refactored to improve stability and long-term maintainability.
- Sungrow hybrid inverters
- The integration was rewritten to improve stability and correctness of readings and control.
- AlphaESS cloud integration
- Many improvements for performance, compatibility, and reliability.
- SMA Sunny Boy Smart Energy
- Small improvements for smoother operation.
- Enphase Hybrid inverters
- Clearer status messages, so it is easier to understand what the system is doing.
- Sungrow Powerstack
- If the requested power is zero, the controller will not send a start command. This avoids unnecessary switching.
- Metcom energy meters
- Added total energy counters, so lifetime totals are visible and more consistent.
- Volstora batteries
- The controller can now read the maximum charge and discharge power limits and automatically respect them, improving safety and predictability.
- GoodWe ET and GoodWe ESS
- The controller remembers after reboot whether a GoodWe ET has a battery, avoiding incorrect behavior after restarts.
- Added “working mode” readouts for GoodWe ESS, so you can see what mode the system is running in.
Other
- EV maximum battery capacity setting
- Added a setting to enter the maximum EV battery capacity for vehicles connected to a charger. This is mainly intended for truck charging setups and helps the controller make better charging decisions.
Stability Improvements
- K-Star: Remote control was not automatically re-enabled from the driver.
- Test function: Fixed an issue that could shut down other devices unnecessarily during testing.
- Ilumen charger: Fixed connector power values overwriting total charging station power.
- Fixed reporting of nominal inverter power for inverters with multiple batteries to the toolbox.
- Peak shaving policy: Corrected to setpoint (it was incorrectly set to self-consumption).
- Jinko Sungiga: Fixed power calculation when battery voltage or current is missing.
- Sungrow Hybrid: Fixed frequency measurement scale factor for devices using a non-default scale factor.
- Fixed a repeated setting key for enabling grid support.
- Eenovance inverters: Fixed fault message readout.
