Capacity Rate

The grid costs consist of the capacity rate and are based on your consumption (kWh).
The grid costs are calculated based on the type of meter you have. (e.g. digital meter, analog meter).

1. Digital meter capacity rate

The average of the monthly peaks of the past twelve months is the average monthly peak.

The monthly peak is the highest quarter-hourly power registered in a month.

If the monthly peak is less than 2.5 kW, 2.5 kW will still be charged. 2.5kW x 40.40 EUR/kW/year = 101 EUR.

2. Analog meter capacity rate

No detail has been recorded here about peak consumption, a minimum contribution of 2.5kW applies.

Example
Capacity rate for 2023: 40.40 euros/kW/year (excl. VAT).

The amount varies from network operator to grid operator and therefore depends on where you live.
