Connection Rules Germany

In Germany, there are requirements for power plant controllers, namely VDE-AR-N 4130:2018 (Extra High-Voltage), VDE-AR-N 4120:2018 (High-Voltage), and the new VDE-AR-N 4110 (Medium-Voltage). An energy park comprises various power generation units (PGUs) such as wind turbines (WTGs), CHP units, photovoltaic installations (PVs), and battery storage systems. Additionally, there are consumers like hybrid farms. If the total connected load ratings are equal to or greater than 135 kW (as per the new VDE guideline from May 2019), all these components need to be integrated and controlled as generation plants by a controller at the point of common coupling (PCC).
